EU-STReP

POF-ALL

The POF-ALL project, funded by the European Union, aims at offering a low-cost solution apt to future broadband networks, focusing on the access network part reaching out to the end user - the so-called "edge network". This solution shall prove that Plastic Optical Fibre (POF) is an enabling technology that may make "Broadband for All" possible and affordable. Besides the technical aspects, POF-ALL's main objective is to propose a new solution to the European and international market, increasing the knowledge around this technology through publications and public demonstrator test-beds.
